Pinoy Athletes to participate in the 16th Asian Games (Asiad)

More than 200 world-class Filipino athletes will be participating in the 16th Asian Games to be held in Guangzhou, China next month. They will be competing with athletes from other countries for titles in different types of sports which will include swimming, basketball, billiards, boxing, taekwondo, and judo among others. Some of the prominent names and medal hopefuls in the delegation are Marestella Torres (athletics), Miguel Molina (swimming), Nathaniel Padilla (shooting), the ageless John Baylon (judo), Doha Asian Games medalist Marna Pabillore and Noel Espinosa (karatedo), and world champions Efren “Bata” Reyes, Dennis Orcollo, Roberto Gomez (billiards). Through this competition, the Filipinos once again are given the chance to show the world what they’ve got. Kudos to all the participants. Mabuhay ang galing ng pinoy!
